Duinhuis is a beach house in Yzerfontein that has a fantastic setting, but the existing house does not take full advantage of this amazing setting right on the dune, next to the sea on Dasseneiland Drive.

The clients asked us to give them an appraisal of what could be done to improve the quality of their vacations and the new and improved Duinhuis was the result.

​

We are opening up die house to let the sun shine in and to create views of the dune and the sea. We added another bedroom with en-suite by optimising the first floor layout and we extended the house on the ground floor to create a lovely "stoep room" with lots of glass to open the house up internally and connect it to the setting.

The estimated time for completion is December 2021.
